We are very sorry that you suffered a loss. It will take time to recover emotionally, it will also take time to recover physically from a miscarriage. The main purpose of this scan is to check that your womb and reproductive system are back to normal (pre pregnancy appearance) and recovering well. Suitable from 6 to 8 weeks from having suffered a miscarriage or after 1 or 2 normal menstrual periods, preferably within the first 10 days of your cycle.

- Anyone who has had surgery following an ectopic pregnancy
The Procedure
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. You will be welcomed at our clinic and asked to complete an informed consent form before each scan.
- When ready, the sonographer will welcome you in the consultation room, confirm your details, the reason for your scan and discuss any particular concerns you may have.
- With your consent, the sonographer will perform an internal scan and will discuss with you what she / he are seeing.
- At the end of the appointment, you will be invited back to the reception room where you can collect your report.
